Frequently Asked Questions about your listing
FAQ’s by Advertisers
Q: Is there a limit to the number of categories we are listed in?
A: No, there is no limit. In most networks you pay extra for being listed in additional categories.
Q: How is the sort order being determined of the companies listed in a specific category?
A: First Gold, then Silver, Bronze, Enhanced, and Standard listings. Within these upgraded levels the sort is Alphabetic. If there are “priority placement” listings these will be displayed on top.
Q: What is the cost for priority placement and category sponsorship?
A: These are different for every network. See the rate card on the Get Listed page, or contact the sales representative for more information.
Q: What is the word limit of our company description?
A: Less is more. We recommend a boilerplate at the most.
Q: What is the word limit of our product description?
A: Same suggestion as with company description, boilerplate at most, let your visual and link to your website do most of the talking for you. Use no more than 20 words.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of products we show in our profile?
A: No, there is not a limit to what you can add, but there is a limit on the attention span of a user. We recommend grouping your products in families.
Q: In what sort order are the products displayed in our profile?
A: These are listed in the order in which these were added. You can change the sort order at any moment in the admin area of your company profile. Sign in and click Edit to enter the admin area, then select Content > Products > use the arrows on the left to change the sort order.
Q: Which content can be pulled automatically into our profile?
A: Your Blog posts and your Twitter feed (if you have those) are automatically updated. Just like any store front (linkedIn, Facebook, etc), you need to update your profile based on relevant and valuable information for your audience.
Q: Why is our website shown in an iFrame window, and what tracking are you doing of pages visited on our site?
A: The iFrame is meant to keep users on your profile. Clicks to your site are not measured, nor any pages visited on your site.
Q: Is there a limit to the number of videos we can display in our profile?
A: We support YouTube videos. There is no real limitation, but only a limit on the attention span of a user. Think of the profile as your company’s program on this specific network. Your audience wants information in a variety of ways. The videos are just another channel for you to educate the audience. We recommend limiting the number of videos to get your message across.
Q: How can we leverage our social media channels in our profile?
A: Adding your LinkedIn id is always a good option. Adding your Twitter handle and Blog RSS feed to your profile will show the latest tweets/news directly in your profile. Links to your YouTube and Facebook channels will direct your audience to those channels to learn more about your company.
